The Orcia Chalet way of life

Share temptations

You push the heavy wooden door of the Orcia Chalet and meet an atmosphere of cork and humidity. As you progress through the cellar you become accustomed to the subdued ambiance and low light

Each bottle is perfectly presented and it is hard to make a choice. What are you going to impress your guests with ?

A red Cabernet Franc with its strong flavor and long length on the palate ? A white Chardonnay ? Its light taste is ideal with very fine cuisine. Or a Syrah, it will go well with most good foods.

Let’s ask the Chef of the Orcia Chalet & Spa, his advice is always excellent.

You will be glad to give in to temptation with your friends.

Château Léoville Las Cases
Bordeaux – St Julien

Jean-Hubert Delon is the owner of this superb vintage Saint-Julien.

For more than thirty years, he has been working to reach the heights, and he has succeeded.

The Grand Vin Léoville Las Cases is the product of exceptionnal terroirs located on a 53-hectare enclosed vineyards on the banks of the Gironde in the village of Saint-Julien. The vineyards and the winemaking are  impeccable, for the last 30 years, this wine has been faultless.

The complex expression of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Francs gives a superbe depth and quality to the wine which is considered by the specialists as good or, even better than some Premier Grands Crus Classés of the region.

No one can better describe de the Grand Vin Léoville Las Cases, than Louis de Funès, in a monument of French cinema, the film ‘L’aile ou la Cuisse’ :

« A beautiful vermilion color, a little violet, beautiful radiance. It’s a Bordeaux, a great Bordeaux. A little noble rot in suspension, the impurities go down slowly. This wine is 23 years old, it’s a 53, a very good year. Wine is the land. This one is slightly gritty, it’s a medoc! Wine is also the sun. This wine has benefited from a beautiful southwestern exposure, on a hill with a good slope. It’s a Saint-Julien, Château Léoville Las Cases 1953! »
